Description Description: Our Slitter Operator supports Mativ's Sustainable & Adhesive Solutions Function. This individual is responsible for all aspects related to setting up and operating several slitters used for converting jumbo rolls of adhesive products into smaller rolls. Operation generally involves the loading of a jumbo roll onto unwind, adjusting machine components for the specific product, slitting and rewinding continuous strips of adhesive product onto cores. The role includes inspection of the web while slitting and booking of completed product. Operation will also include understanding packaging requirements and packing or instructing others to pack. At all times, the Slitter operator is to provide guidance to the team at the work cell and is to work in conjunction with other slitter operators to expedite change overs and trouble shooting. This position reports to the shift supervisor. responsibilities:
