Brown, Inc. has a career opportunity available for a hands-on EMI/EMC Test Engineer to join our growing Engineering and Test Division. Our three divisions, Engineering and Test, Technical Services, and Mission Systems make DTB a diverse and interesting place to work.

Dayton T. Brown, Inc. is a premier leader as an independent testing laboratory providing testing and engineering services. Our extraordinary testing services are performed in one location at our 500,000+ square ft. laboratory. We support customers across all platforms and services in the military, aerospace, shipboard, railway, weapons manufacturers, automotive and consumer industries worldwide.

The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running, must take a hands-on approach to their work, be flexible in their duties and be a proven self-starter.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Performing and overseeing EMI/EMC test programs for external clients
  • Preparing test plans, procedures and reports, while also interfacing with customers
  • Working with test technicians in supporting and directing EMC test programs
  • Working with a certified TEMPEST Engineer to learn, and eventually become certified
  • Managing a fast-paced schedule of EMI/EMC Testing Programs


Required Qualifications:



  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following standards:

    • MIL-STD-461
    • MIL-STD-704
    • MIL-STD-1399
    • RTCA DO-160
    • FCC
    • CE Mark
    • NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92


  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with EMI/EMC testing requirements


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Active U.S. government security clearance
  • Proficiency with TILE Software
