The ideal candidate will serve in a full-time client facing role as a production and design officer for an Intelligence Community (IC) client providing technical publication support, such as desktop publishing, copy-editing content finished intelligence; coordinating with analysts, graphic designers, cartographers, and fellow editors; and supporting the enforcement and clarification of tradecraft standards.



Responsibilities

LMI is currently seeking individuals to serve as Technical Intelligence Production and Design officers to support and collaborate with analytical counterparts across the U.S. Intelligence. The ideal candidate will serve in a full-time client facing role for an Intelligence Community (IC) client serving as Production Officer for review in publication and dissemination of critical finished intelligence for policymakers and senior leadership. With minimal staff oversight, officers will work as a team to be responsible for web-based administration of content; coordinating with analysts, graphic designers, cartographers, and content managers on late-breaking news; publishing content to the website; and adjusting project schedules based on changing mission and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

    Review and publish intelligence articles, graphics, and interactive visuals
  • Readying products for publication and posting them to the website
  • Review and archive records for products
  • Support work-flow tools to meet timelines
  • Develop new methodologies for visualization of products
  • Provide excellent customer service to support contributing authors, managers, editors, production officers, graphic designers, & cartographers
  • Format the contents of publications according to the publications style, editorial policy, & publishing standards
  • Oversee publication production, including, layout, & computer typesetting, ensuring adherence to deadlines


Qualifications

Required:

  • TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required
  • Minimum of three (3) years professional work experience with html or combination of relevant experience and B.A. in graphic design, communications, publication, or related field
  • A strong attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements
  • Ability to manage a large number of requests and easily communicate with others regarding progress and completion of requests
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and meet fast-paced deadlines
  • Technical skills required: HTML5, Dreamweaver, Adobe Creative Suite Design or Premium (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop)
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills

Security Clearance Statement:

TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph is required. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. For this position, LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearances. Please note that only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired:

  • Proof-reading or copy editing experience
  • Comfortable working with minimal government oversight
  • Comfortable using computer databases and systems
  • Knowledge of the organizations within the Intelligence Community a plus

Target salary range: $195,348 - $167,812. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
