What you'll do

Docusign has recently consolidated our financial systems to the Oracle Cloud ERP, Procurement and Subscription Management suite of applications. We are in the process of scaling our finance applications further and rolling out ERP globally to support Docusign's growth and new business models.

As a Lead Technical Architect for the Enterprise Applications - Finance Product Engineering, you will be pivotal in driving the architectural strategy and providing technical leadership for our product engineering initiatives. This role demands an extensive understanding of enterprise application architecture, deep expertise in various platforms, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and reliable solutions. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams, including engineering, product management, data, DevOps, and security, ensuring the delivery of high-quality enterprise applications.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director of Enterprise Applications.

Responsibility

  • Partner with cross functional team members to model and design scalable technology solutions that improve Docusign's Quote to Cash and core finance processes and systems
  • Partner with the Product Management team to gain understanding of the customer requirements and to enable product functionality
  • Design and develop custom PaaS extensions and other custom solutions to meet any product gaps
  • Create design patterns with Oracle Integration Cloud, VBCS and AWS
  • Prepare the technical architecture and technical design in collaboration with the Enterprise Architects and the Product Managers
  • Architect solution in multi-cloud/hybrid cloud environment. Design API layers, data models and specifications. Improve the performance of the APIs in terms of response time, reliability, scalability and resource usage
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues with APIs, identify the source of the issue, and fix/work with the appropriate team to get the issue fixed
  • Be actively involved with the Integration and development teams to design and develop Oracle Integration Cloud Architecture and "Best Practice" Patterns
  • Negotiate IT commitments, business benefits, technology options, cost and constraints, and proposes alternative solutions to the IT and business partners
  • Define and track key product metrics, telemetry, response times and use data to make informed product decisions
  • Build and maintain technology roadmaps and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and emerging technologies in the finance applications space
  • Be a thought leader on the latest trends and product functionality - present white papers

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science or information systems or other related field with relevant IT / ERP experience
  • 12+ years of hands on techno-functional experience in technical design, configurations, custom code development and end to end implementation of Tier 1 ERP solutions, including recent experience on Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud specifically in one or more of the following Oracle modules: Subscription Management, Accounts Receivable, Production Information Management, Pricing, Advanced Collections, Revenue Management, Bill Management and General Ledger
  • 5+ years of as technical architect or technical lead building application technical architecture, roadmaps, defining and measuring KPIs, providing telemetry data and presenting technology solutions to a cross functional team of partners
  • Experience on Quote to Cash processes and systems including Salesforce, CPQ, Provisioning, Billing, Collections, Payment Processors, and Revenue Recognition especially for a SaaS based global organization with a subscription business model
  • Experience on Oracle cloud APIs, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and developing prototypes using postman or similar tools
  • Experience in extending Oracle cloud fusion application using PL/SQL, VBCS, APEX, Groovy, Java, Python, BPM and Object workflows
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in an agile environment and using data to drive product decisions
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and Project Management tools

Preferred

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical/critical thinking skills and an innovation mindset
  • Certification in Oracle Fusion OCI and PaaS technologies

  • Experience implementing or supporting Zuora Billing and Rev-Pro

  • Experience with Payment Processors such as Cybersource or Adyen

  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ or Apttus/ Conga

  • Understanding of basic accounting, revenue recognition and financial reporting


Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $151,800 - $245,150 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $145,800 - $205,950 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $145,800 - $214,350 base salary

Washington DC: $151,800.00 - $214,350.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
