About the Role:
In this position, you will:
- Perform preventative maintenance on marine diesel engines, including:
- Oil service
- Coolant service
- Sea water system service
- Battery system service
- Belt and hose service
- Drive service
- Hydraulic steering service
- Visual and operational inspections
- Pack and transport new and used engine fluids safely to and from vessels.
- Work in yacht engine rooms, ensuring clean and professional service execution.
- Communicate with customers professionally and effectively while on-site.
- Identify and recommend additional service opportunities while performing maintenance.
- Maintain vessel service records, documenting all work and repairs accurately.
- Keep a safe and organized work environment both in the field and shop.
- Be open to learning new skills and taking on additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Mechanical Skills: Basic mechanic's tools (preferred).
- Technical Skills: Laptop/PC skills (preferred).
- Customer Service: Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Driver's License: Valid, unrestricted license with a clean driving record.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel, including off-hours and weekend work as needed.
- Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow processes accurately and maintain detailed records.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
