Position Overview: The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in managing and coordinating all aspects of logistics and supply chain operations. This position involves overseeing the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining high standards of service and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Coordination: Plan and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams, providing updates and addressing any issues or concerns related to logistics. Scheduling: Develop and manage transportation schedules, including route planning and carrier coordination, to optimize delivery efficiency and reduce costs. Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all logistics activities, including shipping orders, bills of lading, and customs paperwork. Monitoring: Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delays or discrepancies. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels in warehouses and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure adequate stock levels and efficient storage. Problem-Solving: Identify and address any logistical challenges or issues, providing solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain operational efficiency. Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on logistics performance, including delivery times, costs, and inventory levels, and provide recommendations for improvement. Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in logistics coordination or supply chain management. Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Technology: Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing logistics operations and documentation. Pay Transparency Notice Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
