The DFA Budget & Finance Team within PDE is the administrative support unit for financial matters for all DFA departments. The team provides support in development, implementation, and oversight of the divisional budget, conducts forecasting, variance analysis, manages project accounting for Facilities Management projects, monitors campus utilities costs, and oversees recharge activities for the division. Your Role on the Team Manage the operations of the central budget and finance functions of the Division, including developing and maintaining an all funds consolidated budget. Manage sources, report on budget versus actuals, develop projections, provides fiscal leadership and guidance to all units across the Division. Provides a variety of analyses and makes recommendations to effectively manage financial performance. Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate staff. Objectives are reviewed by senior management to determine success of operation. Manages, prepares, administers, and directs control of budget / organizational resources. Manages the activities of the financial analyst staff. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control. Directs activities that ensure division and department adherence to approved budget. Involved in developing, modifying, and executing policies that affect immediate operation(s) and may also have organization-wide effect. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals results in additional costs and personnel, and serious delays in overall schedules, adherence to the division's strategic plan and departmental fiscal goals.
