Application Window Open date: July 1, 2024 Next review date: Saturday, Nov 30, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Tuesday, Dec 31, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Seldin lab at UC Irvine is jointly recruiting a postdoctoral fellow in collaboration with the Diabetes division at Novo Nordisk in Copenhagen, Denmark. The nature of this collaboration involves a dynamic and innovative research group dedicated to unraveling the molecular underpinnings of metabolic diseases. We operate at the intersection of biochemistry, molecular biology, and translational medicine, striving to identify novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of metabolic disorders. By employing cutting-edge technologies and multidisciplinary approaches, we aim to make significant contributions to the field of metabolic research. Specifically, the individual will work to characterize the roles of new endocrine proteins which are computationally predicted to act on pathways relevant for metabolic disease. The individual hired under this mechanism will primarily be based out of Irvine, but should be able to travel routinely to Copenhagen to facilitate active collaboration. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and stimulating environment, contributing to groundbreaking discoveries with the potential to translate into clinical applications.
