This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earth's orbit and beyond. Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space.

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will act as the Electrical Project Manager for electrical ground systems within the Test and Flight Operations portfolio. This role requires collaboration with internal and external design teams and subcontractors to manage and coordinate construction and developing operational plans and procedures. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and testing. As the Electrical Project Manager, you will coordinate with Architects and Engineers of Record along with Blue engineers as needed for construction execution, design review, design or intent change integration. In this role you will coordinate with the construction contractors to maintain all schedule milestones, manage and approve request for information and submittals, review cost estimates and change orders, execute procurements process for unbought scope, and review/disposition non-conformances.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with electrical distribution design, hazardous area classification, load balancing, single-line diagrams, design documentation, construction drawings, construction bid solicitation, contractor selection, construction management, field superintendence, permitting, QA/QC
  • Experience with commissioning, operating, and maintenance of power systems
  • Candidate must be able to lift/carry up to fifty pounds. Must be able to physically climb multiple flights stairs, withstand prolonged standing, and work in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to design and understand precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and modeling applications
  • Ability to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgment and personal initiative
  • Recognize and act on opportunities; maintain flexibility to adjust as requirements shift or constraints change
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Intermediate
  • Candidate must be able to successfully apply for badging at a government installation
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Newforma Project Center
  • Experience with project planning and controls
  • Experience working with DOD, USAF, and/or NASA
  • Experience in the aerospace (orbital launch vehicle) sector
  • Experience working to AFSPCMAN 91-710 range requirements
  • Experience with NFPA 72, NFPA 79, NFPA 496, NFPA 497, NFPA 780
  • Experience with Launch GSE Operations
  • B.S or M.S degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Master Electrician or Electrical Contractor license
