About the Job

We are seeking one highly motivated Bioinformatic Postdoctoral Associate to join our new
Program Project in studying cardiomyocyte proliferation and remuscularization in the Xiao
Dong and Daniel Garry Laboratories jointly, at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

You will lead a new research project to integratively analyze of single-cell RNA sequencing,
ATAC sequencing, and ChIP sequencing data, which are being generated by multiple
laboratories in the Program Project in studying cardiomyocyte regeneration; you will also
collaborate with wet-lab scientists from the labs extensively to analyze their individual omics
dataset. You will present the progress of the project orally in intramural, national, and
international meetings and conferences, and in writing in scientific manuscripts and grant
progress reports.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
1. Ph.D., or equivalent degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computer Sciences, Statistics,
Mathematics, or related field.
2. Demonstrated research experience as evidenced by a strong publication record.
3. Demonstrated research experience in the field of genomics, and/or transcriptomics.
4. Strong computational skills covering Python and R programming languages.
5. Excellent communication and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in single-cell transcriptomics.
2. Experience in developing databases.
3. Strong problem-solving and data handling skills.
