Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed for the academic year (2024/2025) and summer term. These are by-agreement contract positions for the semester of appointment. Reappointment, if any, is based solely on instructional need. Candidates should be competent in conducting instruction independently, without supervision, and working collaboratively with the greater Extension and Education Program teams. All instructors are required to attend an instructor orientation and training, as well as monthly instructor meetings. Teacher Preparation Program courses are face-to-face and online, typically held from 4:30-6:50 pm and 7:10-9:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday evenings. The summer hours of instruction may differ. Potential Teacher Preparation Courses for Academic Year 2024/2025:
Positions are typically filled in the spring and summer terms for summer and fall courses and during the fall for spring courses, but openings may occur throughout the year and can be filled as needed from applications in the pool.
