Seeking Mechanically inclined individual with crusher experience that can re-lace a belt with the best of them, stick weld like nobody's business, maintain gear boxes, pulley systems, change out rollers, jaw die's, drive belts, and isn't scared of heights (who doesn't enjoy roller coasters right!?), you're awesome, we're awesome...did we just become best friends!? Bonus points if you can run a front-end loader! The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Skilled Plant Maintenance* to work with our Aggregate Maintenance Company in Michigan. Plant Maintenance position will analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuild, and maintain crushing, screening, and conveyor systems. This person will also perform various maintenance duties in the plant and pit. Pay: Minimum Pay $28.70 Shift/Schedule: Varies Benefits Competitive pay Tuition Assistance/Reimbursement Comprehensive Benefit Plan Development Opportunities Responsibilities The Plant Maintenance Position will: Use machinery to regulate the flow, quality, and size of materials to and from conveyors, crushers, and screens Inspecting and dismantling machines and equipment to locate the causes of malfunctions and correct the problem Service plant and pit equipment as needed (e.g. minor adjustments, lubrication, cutting, welding). Operate mobile equipment such as excavator, bulldozer, loader, boom trucks, cranes and dredge Keep the work area clean and tidy Repair and replace defective parts Weld and fabricate various equipment and parts Travel to other sites as needed Shovel aggregate under conveyors and around the plant Other duties as assigned by supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have the following: Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs. Mechanical aptitude including welding and basic electrical skills Knowledge of equipment (e.g., conveyor lines, crusher, hot plant, wash plant, conveyor lines) Knowledge of materials and specification requirements Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipment or at elevated heights Ability to manipulate components in hard-to-reach places with hands or tools Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings Ability to work in an environment with noise and temperature variations Ability to work around water Valid Driver's license To Apply Please submit a resume.
