Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary The Sr. Employee Relations Consultant collaborates with leadership and team members on work-place issues to resolve them in an effective manner that aligns with Prisma Health's culture and policies.
The Employee Relations Consultant is a subject-matter expert in employee relations and is required to analyze information and provide direction and recommendations quickly and effectively. The Sr. Employee Relations Consultant must be skilled in customer service, including the ability to build relationships with, listen to, and relate to both team members and leaders.
The Sr. Employee Relations Consultant performs all the duties and responsibilities as the Employee Relations Consultant and has additional skills, experience, education, and/or knowledge they bring to the role which allows them to engage in more complex issues.
Accountabilities
Investigates and facilitates the resolution of a wide range of complex employee relations issues. Provides counsel and recommendations aligned with Just Culture to both team members and leaders regarding organizational policies and procedures. Builds strong relationships with, and provides trusted advice, to their group of leadership customers and creates trusting relationships with team members by being a resource and advocate for both team members and leader. Consults with leadership to ensure leaders are provided strong recommendations, that support the organizational policies and procedures. Collaborates with leadership, and participates when appropriate, in team member interventions and corrective actions. Promotes positive employee relations by assisting in the development, and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures related to the Human Resource function at the system, service unit, and department levels. Educates, and develops leadership and team members as appropriate, including facilitating the timely resolution of team member grievances. Collaborates with leadership and other Human Resources functional areas, such as HR Business Partners (HRBP) to enhance and promote positive employee relations and team member engagement. Maintains knowledge of local, state, and federal legal requirements related to day-to-day leadership of team members and escalates to appropriate resources when they have identified an issue that places Prisma Health at potential risk. Participates in the planning, communication, administration, and analysis of the Team Member Engagement Survey.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. Minimum Qualifications
In Lieu Of Will consider internal Prisma Health candidates with 3-5 years of experience, using similar skill sets. Other Required Skills/Experience
Masters degree or other advance degree preferred PHR/SPHR or other industry certification preferred Experience in the healthcare industry preferred 7+ years of experience in HR preferred Knowledge of Human Capital Management and/or Customer Relationship Management Software i.e., Workday, ServiceNow, PeopleSoft etc. preferred
