The Patient Navigator Lead acts as the team lead for practice support staff responsible for a variety of tasks, including appointment scheduling, test/procedure scheduling, insurance eligibility and authorization management, responding to patient calls, appointment reminders, surgery scheduling, faculty travel and meeting coordination, maintaining clinical trial-related correspondence, processing charge documents, and supporting other patient practice needs. Supervisory duties include assisting with work assignments and coverage, coordinating training, helping with recruitment efforts for new staff, providing performance feedback, identifying opportunities for improving operational efficiency and customer service, and supporting the development and implementation of improvement action plans. In addition, the Patient Navigator Lead is primarily responsible for managing surgery scheduling, ensuring patients receive pre- and post-operative educational materials, and coordinating with other team members to secure insurance authorizations as needed. The role requires extensive knowledge of UCLA Health's processes and resources to effectively facilitate patient care and enhance the patient experience. The lead also serves as an advocate for customer service across all aspects of patient care, working within a team to provide communication support for patients, families, physicians, and clinic staff. The goal is to optimize patient flow, minimize wait times, and ensure high levels of patient satisfaction within the Gynecologic Oncology clinics. Salary Range: $30.56 - $60.82 Hourly Qualifications
