The Salvation Army Mission The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Qualifications High school diploma, or general equivalence diploma (GED) and you must be at least 18 years of age. Possess an aptitude in both written and oral communication, be trustworthy, especially in confidential matters and be well organized and efficient. Helpful, courteous and respectful demeanor, with ability to work well with fellow employees and volunteers, take supervision from thrift store management and demonstrate concern for thrift store customers. The qualified candidate must be able to pass The Salvation Army's clerical screenings and MVR drivers' qualification. Must pass the background checks and be willing to support the mission of The Salvation Army. It must be understood by the incumbent that the provisions of Safe From Harm will apply upon commencement of employment and also understood that the required Safe From Harm training be satisfactorily completed within the first thirty (30) days of employment. Summary of Position The Salvation Army - Northern Division, Mankato Store is hiring a full-time Thrift Store Worker. The Thrift Store Worker will manage donated clothing and items by sorting, pricing, and appropriately displaying items received. Lifting heavy boxes and picking up items at their location as needed.
