Job Description

Graduate level Project Coordinator needed an average of 20 hours/week to support the work of the Northern Kentucky Nursing & Interprofessional Research Collaborative (NIRC). The mission of the NIRC is to positively impact the health of the region through the collaborative implementation of community-driven interventions based on interprofessional research methods, quality improvement initiatives, and the application of best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

NIRC activities include academic-community partnerships which engage students in experiential learning and application of evidence based practice and population health research. Other activities of the NIRC include the delivery of structured workshops, seminars, and support of student/faculty/partner scholarship through the development of shared digital resources, and the creation of opportunities for dissemination and recognition of excellence in nursing scholarship. Community partnerships focus on service learning and community based participatory research opportunities for NKU nursing students, faculty, and clinical nurses in the community.

The Project Coordinator will assist the NIRC Director with all activities, including (but not limited to): Data collection, management, and analysis; design and support of organizational Canvas site which will serve as a repository for resources, education and training, and shared partner data; community partnership outreach and communications; Continuing Education (CE) application development; publications and public relations; communications and scheduling; attendance at all NIRC related project meetings; outreach and promotion of all NIRC events.

The position of Project Coordinator will expose the graduate student to complex project management and research opportunities and will promote the development of valuable skills which support a successful career after graduation.

Qualifications

*At least one letter of recommendation from NKU faculty is highly desirable.

*Basic computer skills are essential (eg. Word, Excel, Power Point).

*Ability (or willingness to acquire the ability) to assist with the development and management of the Canvas Organizational site and ensure quality of the site to promote a positive user experience.

*SPSS ability desirable but not essential.

*Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills required

*Project management experience desirable
