Department: Massachusetts Migrant Education Program Title: Lead Instructor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Migrant Programming and Partnership Manager/State Program Director Purpose: Lead Instructors will assist the Migrant Programming and Partnership Manager with the coordination of direct service programming. This can include supporting other instructors, student/family communication, creating and monitoring case loads, ensuring coordinated service delivery and organizing and delivering materials to instructors. Minimum Qualifications:
Instructional Setting: English Language/Life Skills Program- Instructors will provide classes to small groups of students and in some cases individual students. Instruction is almost exclusively remote via Google Meet in evenings and weekends. Site-based Summer Program- The instructors will engage students in project-based learning while also giving them the opportunity to practice their English skills and communication skills. Lead instructors will facilitate a set daily schedule of activities and lead the other instructors in the day-to-day program. Summer home-based Program- Instructors will make a series of one to three home visits to individual and small groups of students. They will facilitate fun and creative activities that also provide students with the opportunity to practice their English skills. Visits will range from one to two hours and can take place at the student's home or in a park, library or another public space nearby. Physical Demands:
