The Role:

As the Director of Clinical and Nursing Operations for Providence Swedish Central Puget Sound Institute (PSCI), you will be the powerhouse behind our clinical innovation and operational excellence. Collaborating with the PSCI Senior Director of Operations and a dedicated team of managers, you will lead the charge in delivering exceptional care across our renowned outpatient clinics and departments, including FH Medical Oncology Clinic, FH PSCI Treatment Center, FH Center for Blood Disorders, Ballard Medical Oncology Clinic, and more. You will also extend your clinical leadership to other PSCI locations, ensuring nursing excellence across the spectrum.

What You'll Do:



  • Clinical Visionary: Provide strategic supervision and leadership, steering our Medical Oncology clinics and Treatment Centers towards excellence in patient care and service delivery. Foster an environment where high-quality, cost-effective care flourishes.
  • Goal-Oriented Strategist: Partner with the PSCI Sr Director of Operations and Executive Medical Director to set ambitious objectives and lead your teams in achieving outstanding clinical care and quality outcomes.
  • Operational Excellence Leader: Ensure all staffing, training, and operational needs are met, while upholding HR policies, nursing standards, and compliance with safety and chemotherapy administration standards.
  • Innovator and Collaborator: Drive special projects aimed at value improvement, revising and creating policies that support our mission. Act as a bridge, aligning PSCI nursing practices with broader SMC policies through active committee participation.
  • Community Builder: Develop relationships and implement clinical services across campuses and with community partners, reinforcing PSCI's position as a market leader in oncology services.
  • Professional Development Advocate: Stay at the forefront of cancer biology, treatment advancements, and management practices to promote seamless care delivery models.


What You'll Bring:



  • Educational Excellence: A Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field is required, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Proven Leadership: Minimum of 5 years in management or supervisory roles within a healthcare organization, specifically in medical oncology. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, set goals, and maintain high standards.
  • Licensing & Certification: Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire and Oncology Certification within one year.
  • Expertise in Oncology: Deep knowledge of oncology services, and nursing operations, paired with strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively across departments and teams. Cellular therapy experience is a plus.
