Position Summary
UNC-Chapel Hill's University Communications and Marketing department is seeking a digital content producer to create compelling digital experiences that connect people with UNC-Chapel Hill's stories, resources and institutional priorities. A member of the editorial and digital production team, this position combines editorial judgment, web production and audience strategy to ensure content is useful, engaging and accessible for its channel and intended audience. This person should be able to independently manage their own projects, but also be a strong collaborator who can work across teams to write engaging website copy, produce newsletters and identify ways to share visuals across sites. The digital content producer will work on a team that contributes to UNC.edu, The Well newsletter, giving.unc.edu and other University websites. Each producer will have a primary specialty while providing cross coverage for major initiatives, high-interest stories and daily publishing needs. The ideal candidate would have experience with a CMS (ideally WordPress) or email service provider. Experience with finding and developing written stories on deadline is a plus.
