Description
Job Title: Production Operator
Location: Plattsburgh, NY
Employment Type: 12-month contract, possibility of conversion to permanent hire afterwards
Industry: Transportation
Compensation: $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 2pm to 10:30pm
About the Opportunity:
Join a fast-paced manufacturing team where you'll play a hands-on role in production, equipment setup, material handling, testing, and quality inspection. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision and safety, enjoys working with production equipment, and wants to contribute directly to delivering high-quality products on schedule.
What You'll Do:
  • Handle, store goods, and raw materials in the factory or the warehouse
  • Set up production equipment: robot, machine, workstation, test bench, inspection tool, warehouse equipment
  • Clean and maintain working areas and production equipment
  • Perform manufacturing/production/test tasks as planned by the MRP
  • Respect the task time and quality level assigned by operating instructions, methods, process, and MRP routing
  • Identify parts as needed by the operating instruction
  • Monitor the production process and carry out basic testing and quality checks
  • Alert the Team Leader on process drift or quality problem
  • Complete tally sheet on the MRP tool if requested by the Team leader
  • Pack goods ready for shipment in crates or other containers
  • Respect ESD rules for electronics device production
  • Complies with EHS rules
