Pay Rate: $22.12 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Looking for Material Handler jobs in Reno where every shift keeps products moving? This opportunity lets you handle materials safely, support warehouse operations, and help ensure inventory reaches the right place at the right time. Load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site. Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Entry-level candidates with foundational electrical knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Job Duties



  • Wire and assemble control panels and control cabinets.
  • Perform panel layout work and modifications, including cutouts and inner panel work.
  • Cut, strip, route, and terminate wires according to industry standards.
  • Install electrical components, breakers, grounding systems, and related hardware.
  • Assist with conduit bending, threading, and installation.
  • Support tubing installation, including cutting, reaming, and bending.
  • Complete wiring inside control houses and installed equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete panel builds accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in quality reviews to ensure completed panels meet specifications and standards.
  • Continuously improve speed, accuracy, and product knowledge.



Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.
  • Technical school, trade school, electrician training, or related education.



Experience Requirements



  • Experience moving, organizing, loading, or unloading materials in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to accurately identify products, labels, inventory locations, and shipping documentation.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices and workplace safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and dependable work habits.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and safety glasses.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler.
  • Technical school, trade school, electrician training, or related education.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles, symbols, and wiring practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics (required).
  • Familiarity with control cabinets, panel wiring, or assembly work.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.



Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
  • Climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
  • Primarily seated wiring and assembly work.
