Exempt: No The Engineering Technician 3 works under limited supervision to provide a variety of support to production, quality, and engineering teams. This role will be responsible for the improvement and implementation of procedures throughout the plants and will be involved in testing, implementation and scoping of projects, and ones that require the use of independent judgment in determining a course of action. This position will assist with the setup of new production systems and may train machinists, operators, and inspectors. The Engineering Technician must have strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of a variety of machining processes. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. This level will effectively train others and may lead smaller projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. * High school diploma or GED * 6-year experience as a technician or machine specialist in manufacturing * Ability to pass background and drug screen. * Ability to stand and walk 90% of workday. * Eligible to work in an ITAR environment. * Ability to train other hourly employees effectively. * Ability to use a microscope and variety of calibration tools.
