What the Ideal Candidate will do:

  • Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial machinery, including power distribution, PLCs, drive systems, relays, and machine automation controls.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation for new and existing products.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and validate electrical designs to ensure compliance with performance requirements, safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Support research and development efforts by evaluating new technologies and contributing to continuous product improvements.
  • Coordinate prototype builds and collaborate with manufacturing teams to support fabrication, assembly, testing, and product release activities.
  • Work closely with vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement design modifications.
  • Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical support to Sales, Applications Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams, including project estimates, quotations, and troubleshooting assistance.
  • U.S. Person status required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in electrical panel and power distribution design within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Aerospace industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage electrical engineering projects under moderate supervision.
  • Experience in machine controls & panel design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (or similar); EPLAN P8 a plus.
  • Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley) and drive controllers preferred.
  • Strong ability to read/write technical documents and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, math, and computer skills; ERP knowledge (SAP preferred).
  • Must travel up to 10%, including internationally.
