Summary:

The Manufactured Inventory Lead is a hands-on individual contributor responsible for bringing structure, visibility, and control to a portfolio of manufactured stock parts. This position ensures part availability across all facilities. The role serves as the link between future production demand, inventory accuracy, and daily manufacturing execution.

Success is measured by inventory accuracy, part availability, and sustained inventory control processes. Stakeholders include Production Supervisors, Manufacturing Leads, Purchasing, Planning, and the Inventory Control team.

Responsibilities:

Demand Planning and Replenishment

  • Ensure inventory replenishment plans support demand, while balancing inventory levels, processing efficiency, and safety stock strategy.
  • Use available tools (ERP, Smartsheet, Excel, charting) with a continuous improvement mindset.

Inventory Control

  • Organize physical inventory locations that promote efficient cycle counts and accurate issuance to jobs.
  • Monitor inventory performance, consumption trends, and discrepancies. Recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Support physical inventory events.
  • Train and reinforce inventory discipline across the operations team.

Workcell Scheduling

  • Create and maintain production schedules for stock-part manufacturing workcells.
  • Prioritize daily activities based on production demand and available resources.
  • Communicate schedule status, work-in-process, capacity constraints, and risks to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field experience.
  • ERP experience (Epicor used).
  • Advanced demand planning capabilities.
  • Direct experience with inventory control (production, warehouse, or distribution).
  • Demonstrate leadership. Lead by example. Influence without authority.
  • Must be willing to collaborate, define the undefined, and effectively manage change.
  • Communicate through all mediums; In-person, chat, email, phone, written.
  • Be reliable, independent, and professional. Follow company safety policies.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this job; Walking, climbing ladders, dexterity to use tools.
  • Must have reliable transportation and drive legally between manufacturing locations. (All in Milwaukee, West Allis).
