| Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Associate Director for Commissioning. The position is responsible for conducting commissioning activities including but not limited to new construction, major renovations, minor renovations, and equipment installation as directed. The position will be responsible for all metering, coordination with energy monitoring systems, and energy management front-end systems. The Associate Director of Commissioning will be in charge of measurement and verification of energy eciency projects.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Overseeing commissioning of new construction, major renovations, minor renovations, and equipment installation. This includes retro-commissioning existing buildings. Documenting the process and all commissioning reports. Ensure that all equipment commissioned is documented to the asset. Manage third parties and vendors.
- The position will be responsible for metering, both physical meter and automated collection of metering data. Work with third party to establish front end and software for collection and alarms. Build and maintain infrastructure for metering of all buildings.
- Measurement and verication of various energy systems before and after construction to ensure they are operating as designed to reduce energy.
- Develop commissioning and retro-commissioning policies, procedures, and processes, as well as train and manage other team members and direct reports.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, Construction Technology, and CAD.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the construction industry in a supervisory role and in a commissioning role.

- A driver's license is required.

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Familiarity with codes, construction sequencing, and OSHA. Familiar with building management systems and MEP systems. Must be able to review drawings.
- The candidate must be very familiar with all aspects of the design process, be able to direct the work of other team members, evaluate options, and make sound decisions.
- Familiar with BIM360 docs and the project management suite.
- Must have a good understanding of the construction management of small to medium-sized construction projects and have managed projects.
