| Job Description |
Installs, repairs, and maintains computer-based data collection, instrumentation, cables, and sensors applied to dynamic and static test items. Measures, understands, and validates sensors outputs using calibration data and digital data acquisition techniques. Retrieves data from vehicles and remote locations via wireless modems and through recording media. Performs preliminary data analysis and compile data recording programs through provided software. Assists with sensor placement based on test procedures. Assists with fabricating custom mounting hardware for equipment and sensor installations. Works well with others and demonstrates good customer service qualities. Performs other duties as required to complete the assigned mission. |

Electro-Mechanical Instrumentation Technician I Requirements
Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:
* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
* One year related electro-mechanical instrumentation experience OR associate's degree in electronics, instrumentation or a related field OR Military training in related field (relevance of experience to be determined by hiring manager.)
* Soldering experience
Job Skills Requirements:
* Must understand basic physics and mechanical movements
* Must have a sound operational knowledge of computers
* Demonstrate motivation and initiative
Pay Rate: $26.56/hr
Electro-Mechanical Instrumentation Technician II Requirements
Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:
* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Two years related electro-mechanical instrumentation experience OR associate's degree in electronics, instrumentation or a related field OR Military training in related field (relevance of experience to be determined by hiring manager.)
* Instrumentation experience and understanding of Automotive Technology
* Mechanical and metal fabrication experience.
* Soldering experience.
Job Skills Requirements:
* Must understand basic physics and mechanical movements.
* Must have a sound operational knowledge of computers.
* Demonstrate motivation and initiative
Pay Rate: $29.74/hr
Electro-Mechanical Instrumentation Technician III Requirements
Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:
* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Five years related electro-mechanical instrumentation experience OR associate's degree in electronics, instrumentation or a related field OR Military training in related field AND three years directly related instrumentation experience.
* Experience operating data loggers including modifying settings, configurations, and programming.
* Instrumentation experience and understanding of Automotive Technology.
* Mechanical and metal fabrication experience.
* Soldering experience.
Job Skills Requirements:
* Must understand basic physics and mechanical movements.
* Must have a sound operational knowledge of computers.
* Competent in sensor selection with minimal senior technician guidance.
* Experience with Campbell, LabVIEW, MATLAB, ORIGIN or other data analysis tools (include in resume)
Pay Rate: $33.02/hr
Physical Requirements:
* Must pass pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
* Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including winter temperatures down to -60F
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and capable of climbing up and into large vehicles up to 8-10 feet high.
* Must be capable of kneeling, bending and standing while performing duties
* Must be able to distinguish colors.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:
* Engineering background, emphasis in electrical engineering or automotive instrumentation, with an understanding of automotive performance and data collection techniques.
* Experience with computer programming and programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
* Mechanical and metal fabrication experience.
* Instrumentation experience.
* Experience with data analysis tools like Campbell, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or ORIGIN.
* Understanding of Automotive Technology.
Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements:
* Must be a U.S. Citizen.
* Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
