Description MaineHealth Corporate Professional - Clinical Summary: MaineHealth Mid Coast hospital is a 102 bed community hospital in Brunswick Maine. The Inpatient pharmacy department supports inpatients, surgical patients, the emergency department, and outpatient practices. As a pharmacy technician at Mid Coast Hospital you have the opportunity to learn on the job and progress through development opportunities with our pharmacy technician job roles. The evening shift at Mid Coast Hospital goes until 9pm on weekday and 8pm on weekends. This position includes the opportunity to work in medication receiving, distribution, storage, compliance, and preparation of both non-sterile and sterile (IV) medications. Whether you are new to healthcare or an experienced pharmacy technician, this is a great opportunity to learn more about our team and the potential for growth within our organization.The Pharmacy Technician role will function in a training capacity, working alongside a trainer/mentor while completing their job responsibilities in their respective pharmacy practice area. The role will assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the care team in the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications within MaineHealth. The Pharmacy Technician will only perform competencies that they have completed in their knowledge-based courses and on the job training and are qualified to perform alongside a technician trainer/mentor or pharmacist.
