Schedule: 1st Shift Mon-Fri, sometimes Saturdays, Need to be available as early as 6am and as late as 6pm

Job Duties

• Promote safety in the workplace daily; lead and direct Safety Program on a team as defined on the respective area.
• Lead safety discussions with associates, audit associate safety practices during walk around
• Attendance - be present for scheduled shifts and additional management team meetings as necessary
• Read, review, suggest improvement and follow issued production schedule
• Provide on-the-job training for associates in all areas of their job duties
• Maintain housekeeping standards 5s by inspecting each line.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality, productivity, cost efficiency and working environment in the department.
• Follow and Maintain department procedure and work instructions updating as necessary
• Maintain compliance with QMS system; QA Scrap & First Piece Approvals
• Report all safety, human resources, quality, scrap and production issues to manager

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree, technical training, manufacturing coursework, or leadership development training is preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or related industrial environment.
• Experience leading employees, coordinating production activities, or providing day-to-day direction to a production team.
• Knowledge of production processes, workplace safety, quality standards, and productivity expectations.
• Strong communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use basic computer systems, production tracking software, reports, and operational documentation.
• Ability to lead by example, hold team members accountable, and respond effectively to changing production priorities.
• 3 years minimum of proven Press brake experience and automation a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is preferred.
• Previous supervisory, team lead, shift lead, or production leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, production metrics, scheduling, or quality systems is beneficial.
• Experience coordinating with maintenance, quality, warehouse, engineering, or other operational departments is considered an asset.
• Individuals who are dependable, proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to motivate a diverse production team are well positioned for success as a Production Lead.
• Strong organizational, Leadership & administrative Skills.
• * Operate a forklift (preferred)

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand and walk throughout production areas for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, and move throughout manufacturing or warehouse environments as required.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to75lbs.
• Ability to safely work around production machinery, material handling equipment, noise, and other conditions common to manufacturing environments.
• Ability to remain active on the production floor while monitoring employees, equipment, safety, quality, and workflow.
• Ability to Stand, bend, and perform repetitive movements as required.
• Ability to use hand dexterity and perform tasks requiring manual coordination.
• Ability to see clearly and distinguish colors accurately.
