Responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Functionasastrategicbusinesspartner/consultanttoproactivelyassistcustomersinmeetingtheirbusinessobjectivesthrougheffectivemanagementofHumanResources
  • Responsibleforquicklyassessingandrespondingtocustomerneeds
  • Ensure the equitable and consistent application of the GDLS policies and practices and Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Interpretpoliciesandproceduresandprovidepolicyguidanceinaconsistentmannertomanagersandemployees
  • Manage,assistwithandadministerprocessesforShortTermDisability,FMLA,payadjustments,uniforms,variousreports,pre-employmentcontingencies,HRISdataentry,andotherduties/tasksasrequired

PositionRequirements:

  • Bachelor'sdegreeinHumanResourceManagement,BusinessAdministration,oranotherrelatedfield
  • ataminimumof1yearrelevantexperienceinaHumanResourcerole
  • MustbeabletoobtainunescortedaccesstothefacilitythroughthevettingprocessasadministeredbytheDepartmentofArmyPolice
  • Demonstratedproficiencyincommunicationskills(written,verbal,computer)required
  • Demonstratedabilitytoworkcollaborativelyinateamingenvironmentwithunionizedworkforcetosupportcustomerandmanufacturingrequirements
  • Must be able to work independently or with minimum oversight to address responsibilities
  • Musthavegoodtimemanagementskills
  • Experiencewithunionizedworkforcepreferred
