The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Operations & Maintenance Specialist / Senior with an active Secret Clearance. Key Responsibilities: * Perform comprehensive inspections of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety).
* Develop preventive maintenance schedules and support requirements.
* Document deficiencies, code violations, and deferred maintenance.
* Provide recommendations for rehabilitation, repair, and modernization.
* Support potential or actual transition of O&M responsibilities or ownership from GSA to DHS.
* Ensure facility readiness, safety, and code compliance.
Experience/Skills:
* Active Secret Clearance
* Minimum 10 years of experience in campus operations and maintenance
* Subject matter expertise in facility systems and maintenance best practices.
* Effective communicator and team member.
* Ability to develop plans, reports, and provide technical guidance.
* Familiarity with federal facility management standards.
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Building Sciences, or related field required.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., Facility Management Professional (FMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM)) required *Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications. *Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government. *Please note that telework arrangements are subject to change based on customer requirements.
