Job Title: Aircraft Assembly Technician
Location: Melbourne, FL (On-Site)
Employment Type: Contract to Direct
Industry: Aviation/Airline
Compensation: $25-$28/hr
Shift: 2 nd - 3:30pm - 12:00am (Mon-Fri)
About the Opportunity:
Join the team as an Assembly Technician, where you'll build, modify, test, and inspect mechanical and electronic assemblies and subassemblies. You'll work from detailed drawings, technical data, and FAA/OEM-approved procedures while using specialized tools and test equipment to ensure components meet quality, safety, and airworthiness standards.
What You'll Do:
  • Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly, disassembly, modification, rework, reassembly, and testing of mechanical and electronic components, modules, boards, panels, frames, drawers, and cables.
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, drawings, index points, technical manuals, work packages, and FAA/OEM-approved assembly procedures.
  • Use hand and power tools, measuring instruments, jigs, fixtures, saws, and specialized test equipment to complete assembly and serviceability testing.
  • Conduct in-process and final quality inspections, identify required rework, and ensure completed components meet specified standards and tolerances.
  • Complete required work package documentation and submit finished work to Quality Assurance for inspection and airworthiness certification.

What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years of aircraft maintenance or aircraft assembly experience
What Sets You Apart:
  • Prior production line experience
  • Boat/automobile mechanics experience
  • Strong decision-making and leadership skills
  • Experience with handing big mechanical components
Additional Information:
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
