Data Center Technician

Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule/Shift: 5-6 days per week, 10-12 hour shifts
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Data Center Technician supports data center construction and infrastructure projects through hands-on, labor-intensive work in active construction environments. This entry-level opportunity is well suited for candidates with a construction-oriented mindset who are comfortable wearing full PPE, working at heights, and performing physical tasks for extended periods. The position requires strong punctuality, dependability, and a consistent work ethic. Candidates should be interested in developing a long-term career in the data center or telecommunications industry.

Job Responsibilities




  • Perform general construction and data center infrastructure support activities.



  • Assist with installation and other hands-on tasks as directed by project leadership.



  • Perform physically demanding work throughout extended shifts.



  • Work safely at heights and in active construction environments.



  • Wear required PPE and consistently follow established safety procedures.



  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.



  • Report to scheduled shifts on time and maintain dependable attendance.



  • Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate effectively with project team members.



  • Support projects at multiple data center locations as assigned.



  • Travel to project sites when required.




Job Requirements




  • Entry-level candidates are welcome; previous construction, general labor, data center, cabling, or related hands-on experience is preferred but not required.



  • Ability to perform labor-intensive work for extended periods.



  • Ability and willingness to work at heights.



  • Ability to wear full PPE throughout the workday as required.



  • Strong punctuality, attendance, reliability, and work ethic.



  • Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts, 5-6 days per week.



  • Willingness to travel as required.



  • Ability to follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions.



  • Ability to work effectively in a construction-oriented team environment.



  • Interest in building a long-term career in the data center or telecommunications industry.




Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)




  • Contract-to-hire opportunity.



  • Multiple openings available.



  • Work may support project sites in Hilliard, Dublin, and New Albany, Ohio.



  • Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance are essential.



  • Candidates must be flexible regarding travel and project-site assignments.
