Data Center Technician Location: Columbus, OH Schedule/Shift: 5-6 days per week, 10-12 hour shifts Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Job Summary The Data Center Technician supports data center construction and infrastructure projects through hands-on, labor-intensive work in active construction environments. This entry-level opportunity is well suited for candidates with a construction-oriented mindset who are comfortable wearing full PPE, working at heights, and performing physical tasks for extended periods. The position requires strong punctuality, dependability, and a consistent work ethic. Candidates should be interested in developing a long-term career in the data center or telecommunications industry. Job Responsibilities Perform general construction and data center infrastructure support activities. Assist with installation and other hands-on tasks as directed by project leadership. Perform physically demanding work throughout extended shifts. Work safely at heights and in active construction environments. Wear required PPE and consistently follow established safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Report to scheduled shifts on time and maintain dependable attendance. Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate effectively with project team members. Support projects at multiple data center locations as assigned. Travel to project sites when required. Job Requirements Entry-level candidates are welcome; previous construction, general labor, data center, cabling, or related hands-on experience is preferred but not required. Ability to perform labor-intensive work for extended periods. Ability and willingness to work at heights. Ability to wear full PPE throughout the workday as required. Strong punctuality, attendance, reliability, and work ethic. Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts, 5-6 days per week. Willingness to travel as required. Ability to follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions. Ability to work effectively in a construction-oriented team environment. Interest in building a long-term career in the data center or telecommunications industry. Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.) Contract-to-hire opportunity. Multiple openings available. Work may support project sites in Hilliard, Dublin, and New Albany, Ohio. Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance are essential.
