Day & Zimmermann is seeking an experienced SAP SD & Billing Configuration Specialist to support and enhance our SAP ERP platform. Job Summary

The Specialist, ERP Configuration 3, SD supports Day & Zimmermann's SAP ERP platform by translating Sales, billing, distribution and business process needs into system configuration, functional specifications, testing, reporting, and end-user support. This job partners business users, ERP configuration leadership, ABAP/development resources, and technical teams to maintain reliable ERP systems, data integrity, and integrated ERP processes across assigned modules. The job contributes to business continuity and decision-making by ensuring ERP solutions are configured, documented, tested, and supported in alignment with operational requirements.

• Configure, maintain, and enhance SAP SD, Billing, and related business processes to support Sales, Contracts, Resource Related Billing, Deliveries, Invoicing, Reporting, and integrated ERP operations.
• Design, configure, and support end-to-end Sales and Billing processes, including:
  
  
  
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end Sales and Billing processes, including sales documents, contracts, sales orders, deliveries, goods movement integration, billing documents, billing plans, milestone billing, credit memos, debit memos, and related document flows.
  • Resource Related Billing processes, including contract-related billing, time and expense-based billing, DIP profiles, Dynamic Item Processor processes, and billing document creation.
  
  
  
  
• Configure and support core SAP SD functions, including pricing procedures, condition techniques, copy controls, incompletion procedures, account determination, text determination, output determination, partner determination, billing relevance, and document controls.
• Gather and translate requirements from business users, process owners, and technical teams into functional specifications, system designs, test scenarios, and implementation documentation.
• Provide advanced issue analysis and resolution for SAP SD, Billing, data, reporting, and integration issues. Investigate root causes and recommend sustainable solutions.
• Develop requirements for custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and ABAP programs. Create, maintain, and support ABAP Queries and other reporting solutions.
• Work closely with ABAP and technical teams to review designs, troubleshoot defects, validate code results, and ensure that custom developments meet business requirements.
• Support integration between SAP SD/Billing and other functional areas, including:
  
  
  
  • Human Resources and employee time or master data processes
  • Logistics, Materials Management, Procurement, and Project Systems
  • Finance, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and controlling processes
  
  
  
  
• Lead or support functional, integration, regression, user acceptance, and production validation testing.
• Validate master data, transactional data, standard and custom table usage, reporting results, accounting documents, tax results, and integration outcomes.
• Support data conversions, mass updates, system upgrades, enhancements, and deployment activities.
• Create and maintain configuration documentation, functional specifications, test scripts, user procedures, training materials, and knowledge resources.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to business users and junior team members.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, SAP modernization efforts, and future migration activities, including SAP S/4HANA readiness and implementation initiatives.

• Advanced knowledge of SAP ERP configuration concepts, SD and Billing processes, module integration, testing, implementation, and production support.
• Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Sales Documents, Deliveries, Billing Documents, Contracts, document flow, and end-to-end order-to-cash processes.
• Extensive knowledge of Resource Related Billing, including time and expense billing, contract-based billing, DIP profiles, billing plans, milestone billing, and related project or contract billing processes.
• Strong knowledge of SAP pricing procedures, condition techniques, access sequences, condition records, account determination, copy controls, text determination, output determination, and partner determination.
• Working knowledge of standard SAP tables, data structures, document relationships, billing and accounting document flow, and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with custom reports, ABAP Queries, functional specifications, enhancements, forms, interfaces, and custom SAP programs.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements, system limitations, data dependencies, integration impacts, and organizational needs.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex system, data, reporting, billing, accounting, and integration issues.
• Strong understanding of integration points between SD/Billing and HR, Logistics, Materials Management, Project Systems, Finance, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Controlling.
• Ability to develop clear functional specifications, test scenarios, user procedures, training materials, and support documentation.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing support, enhancement, and implementation priorities while maintaining customer focus, data integrity, and timely issue resolution.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, or S/4HANA migration and readiness activities is a strong advantage.

• Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Human Resources Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent related experience may be considered where appropriate.
• 10 or more years of progressive ERP, SAP configuration, business systems analysis, or related information systems experience.
• Significant experience supporting SAP ERP/SD, Sales and Billing, Resource Related Billing, requirements analysis, testing, integration, reporting, data validation, and end-user support.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAP Sales Documents, Deliveries, Billing, Pricing, Standard Texts, Outputs, and related SD functions.
• Experience preparing functional specifications and working collaboratively with ABAP developers, technical teams, business stakeholders, and system integration teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP ECC experience, preferably in complex, integrated business environments.
• SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, conversion, or readiness experience.
• Experience with Project Systems, contract billing, professional services billing, time entry, or resource-based business models.
• Experience supporting HR, Logistics, Finance, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Controlling integrations.
• Experience with custom reporting, ABAP Queries, interfaces, data conversion, and production support.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $116,080 - $188,630.This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
