Job Summary

The Pipe Welder performs precision MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe, spool pieces, couplings, and related components. This role requires a skilled welder who can work independently with minimal training while meeting established quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong welding and fabrication experience, can read a tape measure, and works effectively in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel pipes and components.
  • Weld outlets and couplings onto carbon steel pipe.
  • Complete precision pipe-to-pipe welds and assemble pipe sections.
  • Perform specialty welding on spool pieces, pipes, fittings, and related components.
  • Inspect completed welds for defects, splits, seams, and other quality issues.
  • Verify proper alignment and fit-up of fittings and pipe components.
  • Maintain consistent weld quality and follow established specifications and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe welding station.
  • Follow all applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and repair needs.
  • Complete required online training and documentation using standard computer systems.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and support production requirements.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum 3-5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
  • Strong hands-on MIG and TIG welding experience.
  • Experience welding carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe.
  • Ability to perform pipe-to-pipe welding and weld couplings and outlets onto pipe.
  • Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure.
  • Ability to inspect welds and identify defects, alignment issues, splits, and other quality concerns.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal training.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to follow safety, quality, and production requirements.
  • Ability to successfully complete a hands-on weld test as part of the interview process.
  • Must bring a welding hood and required PPE for the weld test.

  • Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
  • Candidates must be prepared to complete a hands-on welding test during the interview.
