Primary Duties:

1. Inform the team leader when inventory levels fall below established stocking levels.
2. Cut, fabricate, and assemble all components required to make finished product samples.
   

   Job Summary
   The Sample Fabricator is responsible for cutting, fabricating, assembling, and inspecting sample products using hand tools, power tools, and production equipment. This role produces high-quality product samples according to specifications, supports safe machine operation, maintains accurate records, and helps ensure samples meet customer, quality, and cosmetic standards.
   Duties and Responsibilities
   Essential Functions (the primary duties this position exists to perform; reasonable accommodation will be considered for these duties as required by law):
   1. Cut, fabricate, and assemble components required to produce finished product samples.
   2. Operate production machinery, power equipment, saws, hand tools, and similar equipment safely and according to work instructions, prints, and specifications.
   3. Produce sample parts and assemblies within established specifications, tolerances, and quality expectations.
   4. Measure, inspect, and verify finished samples using appropriate tools to confirm function, quality, color, and cosmetic requirements.
   5. Inspect equipment before use to confirm proper setup, alignment, and safe operating condition.
   6. Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all machine safety and lockout/tagout procedures applicable to assigned equipment.
   Marginal / Secondary Functions (performed periodically; not the primary reason the position exists):
   * Perform basic routine adjustments, cleaning, and maintenance of tools, machines, and work areas.
   * Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly fabrication area.
   * Inform the team leader when inventory levels or fabrication materials fall below established stocking levels.
   * Perform other duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned, at any time with or without notice.
   Key Responsibilities and Abilities
   * Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment.
   * Ability to interpret prints, work instructions, engineering designs, and related documentation.
   * Ability to safely use hand tools, saws, power tools, and production equipment.
   * Basic math skills and the ability to read a ruler and take accurate measurements.
   * Distinguish colors accurately - this is required to inspect and verify finished samples against color and cosmetic specifications, an essential function of the role.
   * Strong attention to detail, quality, and cosmetic appearance.
   * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
   * Understanding of applicable safety requirements, including OSHA and environmental expectations.
   * Ability to communicate clearly with team members and other departments.
   * Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or related software, preferred.
   Education and Experience
   * High school diploma or equivalent required.
   * At least one year of related fabrication, production, machine operation, or tool-use experience preferred.
   * Completion of on-the-job training may be considered in place of some educational or experience requirements.

   Reporting Relationship
   * Reports to: Samples Supervisor
   * Works closely with the Sample Shipping Specialist, Sample Department, Quality, and other internal departments to support sample production.
   Physical Requirements
   Frequency key: Occasional = up to 1/3 of shift; Frequent = 1/3 to 2/3 of shift; Constant = more than 2/3 of shift.
   * Stand for prolonged periods while using tools and operating equipment - Frequent.
   * Perform repetitive bending, reaching, and stooping - Constant.
   * Lift and carry up to 50 pounds - Occasional.
   * Visual acuity required to read instructions, operate machines, distinguish colors, and inspect finished samples - Constant.
   * Exposure to machine noise, moving mechanical parts, and use of PPE (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection) as required by task.

   * Steel Toe Boots - Constant.
   * Safety glasses - Frequent.
   * Hearing protection - Frequent.
   * Face Shield - Occasional.

   
   
3. Assemble literature, binders, and color rings for inclusion with sample requests.
4. Ship all samples as requested by sales.
5. All other duties as assigned.

Specifications:

• Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of individuals in a clear, concise manner.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to distinguish colors.
• Must be able to use power equipment (including saws and hand tools).
• Basic math skills and the ability to read a ruler.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to obtain forklift/power lift certification.

Job Relationship:

• Reports directly to the Sample Team Leader.
• Assist in communication between departments throughout the organization.

Authority:

• Authority to stop production for non-conforming quality or safety compliance.
• To support company policies and procedures.
• Report non-conforming material and safety non-compliance to management.

Hours and Location:

• Inpro World Headquarters, Muskego, WI
• Four-day work week possible! After training Monday through Friday for the first two months, transitioning to Tuesday through Friday. 6:00 am - 4:00 pm is an option.
