DCS is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support laboratory and field testing for the NSWCDD B30 Electronic Warfare and Spectrum Operations (EWSO) mission. This position will develop requirements-based test strategies, plans, and procedures; execute testing of Navy EW and combat systems; analyze system behavior; and investigate and verify defects. The ideal candidate brings experience with Electronic Warfare systems, Aegis, or SSDS.

Hiring for this role is dependent on the successful award of the contract. Offer and start date are subject to change based on the final award decision.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline plus 7 years of experience.

Active Secret Security Clearance.

7 years of demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • Conducting tests in support of DoD weapon systems.
  • Test and evaluation strategies, statistical analysis of data and engineering tools.
  • Understanding of concepts related to system performance testing and methods of system test design.
  • Agile methodologies.
  • Configuration Management (CM) processes and Configuration Control Board (CCB) support.
  • Use of simulations in a test environment.
  • Reporting, tracking, reproducing and verifying bugs.
  • Troubleshooting weapon control systems.
  • Understanding system actual and desired behavior.
  • Creation of test cases and procedures in accordance with DoD policies and instructions.
  • Development of test plans and procedures that trace to program requirements.
  • Planning and executing tests in both laboratory and field environments.
  • Analyzing test data to assess system behavior and create final test reports.
  • Ability to plan, design, coordinate, and control the progress of project work to meet sponsor objectives.

Specialized Test Engineering experience - 3 years concurrent progressive experience with a demonstrated technical background in: Electronic Warfare Systems / Aegis / SSDS.

3 years experience working in a Linux operating environment and familiarity with shell scripting.
