About CI Medical:

CI Medical, a UFP Technologies company, provides critical medical pad printing services to medical device manufacturers. Established in 1985, we are the only ISO 9001:2015 certified pad printing company in the U.S. catering exclusively to the marking needs of the medical device industry.

Location: This position will be on-site full-time in Norton, MA. The position holder will need to be within commuting distance (within 45 min).

Quality Technician Summary:

This position is responsible for performing product inspections, implementing controls, standards, procedures and corrective actions in support of the Quality System and manufacturing processes. With direction of the Quality Manager, this position assists with nonconformances, internal audits and continuous improvement projects.

Quality Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform verification inspection on Incoming, In-Process and Outgoing products.
  • Visually compare work pieces against one another to assist / detect manufacturing variations.
  • Assist and / or train operators on part acceptability and measurement as required.
  • Document Non-Conforming Material.
  • Report quality problems or findings to Quality Manager and follow up to ensure that corrective action has taken place.
  • Maintain records of inspection, interact with other departments to ensure compliance with specifications and facilitate the acceptance of parts.
  • Evaluate the root cause for out of tolerance conditions and provide corrective actions as needed.
  • Complete and control the required quality records and/or documents as directed by the standard operating procedures
  • Handle defective parts, and help prepare them for return to vendor processes as required
  • Performs all other duties as assigned of needed.
Quality Technician Qualification Requirements:
  • High School / Technical School or equivalent.
  • Experience with using MS office products.
  • Familiar with ISO standard / practices
  • Ability to interpret blueprints / technical drawings.
  • Experience with measuring using scales, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • A minimum of two years' previous experience using computer and measuring instruments.
