Overview
Supervises staff's activities and may coordinate activities with other departments. Organizes workflow and implements processes and/or changes to ensure unit is productive and in compliance with any internal and/or external regulations. Monitors, audits, and analyzes unit operations to ensure that service standards meet company standards. Responsible for day-to-day insurance processing operations. May manage and coordinate office services including equipment and vendor management. All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervises, coordinates and monitors activities of the unit in order to obtain and ensure an accurate, quality product while at the same time maintaining high production standards. Audits work produced for accuracy and quality.
- Schedules, prioritizes, and distributes workflow of unit to ensure work is completed in a timely fashion and all deadlines are met. Ensures unit meets service standards.
- Coordinates and acts as a liaison with other supervisors or branches with whom their unit interacts. May work with external clients such as state agencies, vendors, insureds, or agents.
- May review work and authorize refunds, payments, returns, credits, purchases, and settlements up to authority level established/granted.
- May be a liaison and manage office equipment and services. This includes but is not limited to the ordering and maintenance of leased equipment; coordinating the purchase of office supplies, furniture, fixtures; and coordinating with vendors responsible for building maintenance or office services.
- Audits procedures and controls to ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements.
- Maintains administrative records and follows retention guidelines.
- Interviews and makes staffing recommendations.
- Plans and coordinates special programs/office events.
- May act as the primary local IT liaison regarding computer and telecommunications equipment/services for office staff.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Requirements
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to analyze processes and develop and implement solutions.
- Proficient in MS Office software.
Education and Experience
- College degree preferred.
- 5+ years processing support (typically rating, customer service, policy service, etc.) experience preferred.
- 1+ year's supervisory experience.

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.
Pay Range
USD $69,000.00 - USD $89,000.00 /Yr.
