Our Values Respect | Belonging | Accountability | Transparency Department PediatriciansThe Department of Inpatient Pediatrics at Denver Health Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Critical Care Physician to join our team in a part-time (0.5 FTE) faculty position within our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Denver Health serves the Rocky Mountain region as a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center and a Level 1 Adult Trauma Center. About the Department The Department of Inpatient Pediatrics includes a 10-bed PICU, 20-bed General Pediatrics service, Level III NICU, and Well-Baby Nursery. Denver Health also has a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department and Urgent Care. Denver Health is a teaching affiliate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the Pediatrics Residency at Children's Hospital Colorado. Denver Health physician faculty have academic appointments at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Teaching and Academic Environment Education is a core component of our mission. Faculty serve as clinical educators for medical students, pediatric residents, and other learners. Denver Health is a highly sought-after training site for Children's Hospital Colorado residents because of its strong commitment to health equity, diverse patient population, and opportunities for graduated clinical autonomy. A CHCO Pediatric Chief Resident provides continuous on-site support, and senior residents rotating at Denver Health are selected based on demonstrated clinical excellence. Position Highlights This position will add a sixth pediatric critical care physician to our collaborative division, which currently comprises four full-time equivalent providers. The providers in the group share daytime on-site PICU coverage with after-hours home call. When the PICU census is low, clinical duties may flex to include daytime staffing of PICU stepdown or General Pediatrics patients. Faculty members are encouraged to participate in:
