Description

This is an Exempt, Full Time, Benefited RN Supervisor position. The hours are Monday through Friday and generally 9-5 although sometimes coverage could fall earlier or later.

Eligible to participate in the Supervisor Incentive Plan.

Supervisor responsibilities include: workflow support, and department initiative implementation. Other duties include: ensuring nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. Ensures appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge. Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of critical care or PreOP- PACU experience in an acute care setting.
  • Leadership: At least one (1) year of leadership experience, such as serving as a Charge RN.
  • Licensure & Certifications: Current California RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and team development skills, with the ability to effectively plan, execute, and follow through on responsibilities.
  • Leadership Capability: Proven ability to exercise authority and responsibility in managing services, aligned with the organization's scope and the complexity of patient care.
  • Clinical Competency: Must possess all required competencies and certifications expected of a Charge RN within the unit.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with electronic charting systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Experience: Experience with EPIC charting software.
