Job Summary: The Data Systems Manager oversees the data use, data fidelity, and delivery of information services in DSHA's Advancement Department. The Manager works to ensure overall data integrity in Raiser's Edge (RE) & Blackbaud's education management portfolio for K-12 to realize the broadest and highest use of the databases by Advancement colleagues through cooperative development, design, and implementation efforts. Responsibilities also include process definition, policies and procedures development, and reporting. The Manager will work on the data team to assist in the overall integration of data between our two database systems. They will represent the Advancement database RE while collaborating with the Core side that supports the school's student information system. The Manager will also be responsible for using proactive strategic programs for prospect identification, rating and tracking, with an emphasis on collaborating closely with Development colleagues to help meet overall fundraising goals. This position is critical to the success of Advancement efforts, an environment that is driven by data and information. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: Position requires 3-5 years of work experience, with progressively responsible work with complex relational databases. Proficiency in information and database management is required. BA/BS degree is preferred, though extensive experience with Raiser's Edge database management can offset this. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must possess a strong customer service orientation; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues and interact effectively with a variety of people in a team emphasized environment. Must have a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities as well as the ability to exercise independent initiative as appropriate. Must be comfortable and effective with translating between end-users' needs and database output. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Knowledge of Boost My School, ReceipterPro (DonorTek) and ThankView preferred. Must possess excellent communication skills, including proficiency in editing, spelling and grammar. Excellent project management and research skills and the ability to handle various special projects and meet multiple priorities under strict deadlines on an ongoing basis while addressing daily needs of the school is required. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
