Job Details

ChristianaCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center at theCecil Campus. As part of our multidisciplinary outpatient team, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care for patients with acute and chronic wounds.

Our Wound Care Centers are dedicated to achieving outstanding healing outcomes through evidence-based practice, advanced wound care technologies, and a patient-centered approach. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialized wound care expertise while making a meaningful impact on patients' lives.

Work Schedule
  • Part-time position
  • Day shift hours; Monday through Friday
  • No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in an ambulatory wound care setting through comprehensive assessments, diagnostic evaluation, and wound assessment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of common wound etiologies and evidence-based wound care practices.
  • Perform ordered treatments and procedures, including:
    • Vital signs
    • Blood glucose monitoring
    • Vascular assessments and ABIs
    • Wound assessments and measurements
    • Medication administration
    • Specimen collection and handling
    • Phlebotomy
  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
  • Obtain and interpret patient and wound histories using effective interview, observation, and assessment techniques.
  • Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education to support successful wound management.
  • Deliver age-appropriate care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, demonstrating knowledge of growth, development, and individualized patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience.
  • Previous ambulatory or outpatient nursing experience preferred.
  • Wound care experience preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
  • Flexibility to provide occasional coverage at other ChristianaCare Wound Care locations in the event of emergent staffing needs after orientation.

Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
