Dematic has an exciting opportunity to support our Americas Region Legal Team as a Corporate Paralegal / Administrative Assistant professional. We seek an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual.
This role will supply paralegal and administrative experience supporting the Americas Legal team in various areas including Contracts and Litigation. This is a hybrid role, that will work from our Grand Rapids, MI office.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $66,800 - $91,850 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You Will Do in This Role
- Support Legal team with projects and initiatives to improve efficiencies
- Conduct legal research on specific issues or topics and summarize in writing
- Contribute to the preparation of training materials on various legal topics
- Work closely with Dematic's Legal Team to develop templates, policies and procedures and implement standard processes for legal matters affecting the Company
- Maintain Legal' s forms libraries for use by various business groups
- Identify standards for document and process management for the Legal Department
- Acknowledge service of complaints and subpoenas and maintain electronic case management system
- Provide support and assist with the preparation of responses to federal and state agency inquiries, audits, complaints, contractor licenses, etc.
- Support and assist with the monitoring and coordination of litigation matters
- Participate in handling litigation holds, and answers to complaints and discovery
- Assist with modifications to and management of confidentiality agreements and templates
- Assist with filings of corporate governance documents and maintenance of corporate books
- Assist with contractor license renewals and filings in various states
- Maintain data and tools used by Legal Department for maintaining relevant information such as PowerBI and SharePoint and support invoicing process for timely payment of outside counsel
- Prepare, copy, print and maintain electronic and physical documents, as needed
- Support travel arrangements for Legal team
What We Are Looking For
- Associates degree or above preferred, or equivalent experience accepted
- Paralegal Certification strongly preferred, but not required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm
- experience preferred
- Proficient use and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote)
- Confidence to review, coordinate or draft a broad variety of agreements, including non-disclosure agreements
- Ability to learn new software quickly with little l guidance.
- Ability to multitask with a high level of reading comprehension
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead projects, including delegating and supervising tasks appropriately
- Ability to optimally communicate and collaborate with diverse personalities in all levels of management, as well as with outside vendors and clients
- Collaborative and, motivated by the open exchange of ideas, and able to work independently as needed
