Responsibilities What You'll DoAssist with the preparation and delivery of meals according to department procedures and assigned responsibilitiesFollow residents' individual diet orders, texture and consistency modifications, and menu preferencesServe meals in dining areas according to seating charts and resident tray ticketsHelp maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining environmentCare for and maintain kitchen equipmentInteract with residents and families regarding meal service when appropriateHelp create a welcoming and positive dining experience for residentsParticipate in department and facility meetings, in-services, and required trainingFollow all applicable food safety, sanitation, safety, HIPAA, and compliance policiesMaintain reliable attendance and punctualityFollow facility dress code and identification requirementsFollow policies regarding electronic devices and company equipmentSupport Elderwood's Mission, Vision, and ValuesPerform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management Qualifications QualificationsMinimum 16 years of ageEmployment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individualsPrior customer service experience preferredPrior food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant experience desiredServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtainHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredAbility to maintain the physical stamina necessary for an active positionAbility to follow written and verbal instructions and established safety proceduresThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
