The Information Technology department is seeking motivated, self-driven students to join our Data & Analytics team for a rewarding summer internship experience.Information and analytics play a critical role in the insurance industry by transforming data into actionable insights, improving operational efficiency, supporting strategic decision-making, and enhancing customer experiences. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to apply their technical and analytical skills while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic and impactful business environment.As a summer intern, you will work closely with experienced technology and business professionals on real-world projects that contribute directly to organizational objectives. This is a hybrid position; applicants must be within commuting distance of our Short Hills, NJ office.

• Support data integration, automation, and analytics initiatives by assisting with the design, development, testing, and optimization of data pipelines and automated workflows that improve data quality, timeliness, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze existing data processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities, document current-state processes, and help evaluate modern solutions that enhance scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Assist in preparing, transforming, and validating data used for reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions, including proof-of-concept initiatives utilizing platforms such as Power BI and other analytics tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Analytics, Customer Experience, Regulatory, and Knowledge Management, to gather requirements, understand business needs, and support project execution.
• Conduct research on emerging data, analytics, and AI technologies, evaluate tools and capabilities, and contribute recommendations through presentations, documentation, and leadership-ready materials.
• Support the development of data-driven insights and performance metrics that help stakeholders make informed business decisions.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (rising Juniors and Seniors preferred).
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in working with data and technology.
• Self-motivated, accountable, and capable of managing assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Passionate about Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automation, and Business Intelligence.
• Familiarity with data visualization, reporting, or programming tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, Excel, or similar technologies is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Interest in learning about the insurance industry and how technology drives business outcomes.
• College credit may be available based on your institution's requirements.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma required. Ideal internship candidates will be full-time undergraduate college Juniors or Seniors, with the ability to perform at a professional level.
