The
Human Resources Intern gains hands-on exposure to multiple Human Resources functions, including general Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Payroll & Benefits, and Learning & Development. The Human Resources Intern will assist with administrative support, project work, employee communications, and process coordination while learning HR best practices in a professional banking environment.
As a Human Resources Intern, you will:
Human Resources:
Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including preparing materials, updating checklists, and supporting workflow communication between departments.
Provide administrative support for HR projects, employee communications, file maintenance, and process documentation.
Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling employee information and HR-related materials.
Develop positive and professional working relationships with HR team members, managers, and employees.
Talent Acquisition:
Assist the Talent Acquisition team with job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and recruiting-related projects.
Review and update job descriptions or posting information as directed.
Support candidate sourcing efforts through job boards, social media, career fairs, campus recruiting, and referral networks.
Assist with resume review, interview coordination, and preparation of recruiting materials under the guidance of the Talent Acquisition team.
Maintain accurate information in the applicant tracking system and other recruiting resources.
Benefits & Payroll:
Assist with employee benefits and payroll-related administrative tasks, including data entry, document preparation, and file organization.
Support benefit enrollment, change, and termination processes as directed.
Help review employee information and HRIS records for accuracy, escalating questions or discrepancies to the appropriate HR team member.
Learning & Development:
Assist with the coordination and administration of employee learning programs, including scheduling, communications, training materials, and participant tracking.
Support maintenance of learning records and resources within the Learning Management System (LMS), including course updates, learner assignments, and data accuracy reviews.
Compile and analyze training participation, completion, and feedback data; assist in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations for HR and business leaders.
General:
- Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Qualifications:
Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
Prior office, customer service, administrative, recruiting, or HR-related experience preferred, but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required; experience with Paycor or other HR systems preferred.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
Interest in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, employee development, or related business functions.
Ability to learn quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and follow established processes and procedures.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Self-motivated and resourceful.
