POSITION SPECIFICS Auxiliary and Business Services is seeking an Events Parking Coordinator to provide essential support for the operations of the events at the Transportation Services office under the direction of the Administrative Operations Manager. The Events Parking Coordinator will support the programs and initiatives originating from Penn State University Transpiration Services Office by setting priorities, coordinating, planning, and prioritizing work for events across campus. This position will support the administrative functions of over 6,000 events that take place at the University Park Campus. These events may range in size from coordinating a group of 5 individuals to park in a facility to 100,000 people attending a home football game. The position places an emphasis on gaining and understanding various software programs specific to the Transportation Services events team including HONK mobile payments, ParkWhiz, T2 Flex, and various other parking reservation platforms. The position will implement and develop a training program for each area of the of the event parking program that includes standard operating procedures. Perform in a lead support capacity as it relates to the planning, communication, and problem solving as it relates to departmental events, summer camps, conferences, special groups, and other various events across campus that require unique coordination. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Associate Degree No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Required Certifications: NoneBACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
