Overview

DecisionPoint is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developers to support the MODES III program. This individual will design, develop, modernize, test, integrate, and maintain secure enterprise web applications supporting Department of Defense mission requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, modern front-end and back-end technologies, RESTful APIs, cloud-hosted applications, and Agile/DevSecOps delivery in a fast-paced Federal environment.

This position is fully remote.



Duties & Responsibilities

Full Stack Application Development

    Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain responsive enterprise web applications.
  • Develop reusable front-end components and scalable back-end services using approved frameworks and coding standards.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into secure, maintainable software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot defects, perform root-cause analysis, and support production issue resolution.

API, Integration, and Cloud Support

  • Design, build, document, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and system integrations.
  • Support application deployment and operations in AWS.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and deployment automation.
  • Assist with application performance monitoring, tuning, availability, and reliability.

Cybersecurity, Quality, and Compliance

  • Apply secure software development practices and participate in code reviews, automated testing, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to support RMF, Zero Trust, NIST SP 800-53, and Authority to Operate requirements.
  • Develop accessible applications and content consistent with Section 508 requirements.

Agile Delivery and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, UX specialists, architects, testers, and Government stakeholders.
  • Provide work estimates, technical documentation, status updates, and knowledge transfer.

The Full Stack Developer will help modernize and sustain MODES III applications that support military members and their families. The role combines hands-on Oracle APEX development, cloud application engineering, secure software delivery, and close collaboration with Government and program stakeholders to deliver reliable, accessible, and mission-focused digital services.



Qualifications

Clearance Requirement
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 6+ years of enterprise software development experience, including 3+ years performing full stack and/or mobile application development.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and modernizing enterprise web and/or mobile applications.
  • Hands-on experience supporting iOS and/or Android mobile applications, including native or cross-platform development.
  • Experience with mobile development technologies such as Swift/SwiftUI, Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, React Native, Flutter/Dart, Ionic, or Capacitor.
  • Strong experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs, backend services, databases, and third-party systems supporting web and mobile applications.
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with one or more backend technologies such as Java, C#/.NET, Node.js, or Python.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL; experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience using Git-based source control, issue tracking, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience supporting applications hosted in AWS.
  • Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing production applications throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Preferred Experience & Certifications
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Experience supporting Federal/DoD applications or other regulated environments.
  • Experience with mobile application build, testing, signing, provisioning, and deployment processes for Apple iOS and Google Android.
  • Experience with Apple App Store and/or Google Play release processes.
  • Familiarity with mobile integrations including authentication/identity, APIs, push notifications, analytics, secure storage, caching, and backend/cloud services.
  • Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment.
  • Experience with tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience supporting applications in IL4/IL5 or other regulated cloud environments.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms such as OutSystems is preferred.
