Vesta, Inc., a thriving not-for-profit mental health organization, located throughout Maryland. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, we offer comprehensive behavioral healthcare services, including clinic facilities, day programs, and residential homes tailored to individuals grappling with mental health disorders.

We are currently seeking a Business Director for our Lanham, Severn, Forestville, and Waldorf locations. This position would provide leadership and oversight of administrative, operational, compliance, and business support functions throughout the regions. This role serves as a key member of the leadership team and works closely with Regional and Program Directors to drive operational excellence, improve service delivery, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.


Hours: Monday - Friday

On-site integrated Locations: Waldorf, Forestville, Lanham, and Severn

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee regional business operations and administrative support services.
  • Manage clinic operations, including provider scheduling, medical records processes, and medication management support.
  • Oversee entitlement and benefit programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, Social Security, and other public assistance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Health Home, USDA, and other program-specific contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise administrative staff and support their development, performance, and training.
  • Oversee quality assurance, audits, reporting, vendor relationships, business systems, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Manage organizational resources, client funds processes, and administrative operations to support effective service delivery.


Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Management, or a related field preferred; Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience considered.
  • Five or more years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or a related environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable Medicare, Medicaid, CARF, COMAR, and Maryland Department of Health requirements is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing compliance, operations, reporting, and staff supervision

Compensation and Benefits:


Pay Range: $115,318 - $122,237 per year, paid bi-weekly. Salary calculated based on region size, education, and previous supervisory experience.

Other Compensation: Employees are eligible for bonuses (variable, depending on company and individual performance).

PTO: New employees can accrue up to 96 hours of PTO in the first year (pro-rated based on start date). Employees can accrue up to 40 hours of sick leave per calendar year (pro-rated based on start date).

Holidays: 8 paid holidays per year

Retirement: 403(b) plan participation available at hire. Employer matching after 1000 hours of service. Discretionary employer contributions are given at least once a year.

Health Benefits: Full-time salaried employees are eligible for benefits beginning the first day of the month after hire. Medical, Dental, and Vision (single and family), flex-spending accounts (FSA and Dependent Care).
