Position Title: Research Associate II Assay Development

Work Location: Tucson, AZ, 85755

Assignment Duration: 24 Months

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary:

Conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support Ventana projects, specifically IHC and molecular detection kit development.

Design, execute, and interpret experiments and apply technical expertise toward project strategies.

Background & Context:

Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses and present results to the team, while maintaining complete, accurate laboratory documentation in compliance with company policies (e.g., GMP, GLP, Design Control).

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and execute experimental protocols with minimal supervision, including making observations and analyzing data.

* Prepare and present technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses; maintain complete and accurate records.

* Troubleshoot problems and institute corrective actions.

* Work collaboratively in a team environment by providing creative solutions and input to project planning.

* Contribute to process improvement suggestions and assist in identifying patentable inventions.

* Train colleagues and monitor work to ensure quality and continuous adherence to the Quality First Time principle.

* Exercise judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for complex problems.

Qualification & Experience:

* Education: Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences

* Experience: 2-4 years of relevant post-college job experience.

* Technical Skills: Proficiency in a range of specialized wet laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, using a balance and stir plate, etc.); capable of searching scientific literature; skilled with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

* Soft Skills: Good communication and presentation skills, meticulous attention to detail, coachable, collaborative, and a proven ability and desire to learn.

* Preferred (Nice to Have): Experience in reagent and instrument development
